"Despite the variety of presentations offered on this website a few principles apply, although there are no rules which may not be changed.
If you are interested in a print presentation which is different from what I have suggested please inquire".
THE ELEMENTS IMAGES
With the element images I offer single images not sold in editions because I wish to offer a good selection of images that are are more affordable than Limited Edition prints.
In each element there are a few instances of images from Limited Edition portfolios as well to provide a key for the viewer to those portfolios.
NON EDITION PRINTS | Specifications
These archival digital prints are made from high resolution scans and digital files.
Scanner: Hasselblad/Imacon Flextight scanner
Cameras: Hasselblad H2D medium format camera, Rollei 6800 i medium format camera, Leica and Nikon SLR's.
Paper: MOAB Entrada Rag Bright 300 by Legion Paper
Printer and Inks: Epson 9800 wide format printer with Ultrachrome K3 archival inks
Framing: I do not offer matting and framing as it is too expensive and dangerous to ship framed prints with glass.
THE PORTFOLIOS | Limited Editions of 7
In each of the editions I have chosen sizes and suggested presentation:
Matted archival prints ready for framing - in this instance I do the matting but not the framing
Large Format Prints:
Some portfolios offer larger images which are printed by an art printing house in Vancouver, mounted on Dibond, an inert aluminum core substrate, and coated with a protective coating. This is my preferred presentation for large prints which would be too heavy and unwieldy in conventional frames with glass.
The mounted prints are suspended from the wall using an aluminum channel system attached to the back of the print.
A frame may also be used, and looks very handsome, around the mounted print.
